I’ve been without a car for two whole days. Only six years old and the radiator had to be replaced, as well as a couple of gaskets. It was the last of the day to be finished and ready to pick up so what better way than to celebrate with a coffee.
But this time it was of the takeaway variety. Perhaps it doesn’t taste quite the same through a straw from a cardboard container but it was most welcome.. It was a pleasant late afternoon interlude, still in sight of my route home, a few quiet moments of solitude with only the seagulls and a couple of ducks for company. The only book, a map book in the side of the car door.
